The astrological tone of March is two-fold — Hurry up and wait. As the personal planets Mars, the Sun, and Venus, move into Aries, coinciding with the Spring Equinox will all
carry the spritely signature of Spring Fever, we still have three weeks of the month heavily wrapped up in the energies of Mercury Retrograde. That familiar surging of newness and excitement will make it very hard to do the astrologically appropriate things.
New ideas, new opportunities, new experiences will be propelling out with the reckless and childlike fervor of Aries, but do everything you can to harness and direct this precious gold.
A small window to launch things cracks open March 21st, but then closes again for the rest of March as it is filled with mostly strange and/or challenging energies and really I like best waiting for the New Moon in Aries on April 10th for ev- erything new, if you can find it within yourself to remain com- posed until then.
As you read about the energies of the aspects taking place for the rest of March after Mercury goes direct, you will feel why I suggest waiting until into April for important things. Thinking about astrology in these terms helps you to really start to consciously tune into the rhythms of the planets rath- er than just blindly accepting astrological advice.
Feeling the tone of the planetary combinations for the month rather than just reading for the information, plants seed for empowerment. Using sentient faculties in con- junction with mental ones magnifies the capacity to con- sciously use planetary placements and transits for greater self-reliance, accountability, and energetic sustainability.
Sustainability comes from using resources and energy ef- ficiently. Understanding the effects of the stars promotes ef- ficient use of energy. There are best times for certain things that when honored require less energy for more output.
So what exactly is it best to wait to do? Officially launch- ing that new website that you just know is brilliant — wait. The book launch, art project, new invention, new business — hold off. Buying a new car, computer, house, moving — it’s almost time, but not yet.
Things that have the green light all month...
Clearing out; cleaning; organizing; working on projects already started; finishing old projects; reading; studying; re- searching; introspective retreats; inner healing work; contact- ing friends, family, associates, and acquaintances you haven’t spoken to in a while; making revisions to a website, etc., that aren’t big, new launches; and improving communication.

March 4 — Venus in Pisces Square Jupiter in Gemini — Be wary of overpromising or overdoing in anything involving love, money, or beauty – you may feel excessive or like doing something very generous or outrageous, hold off.
March 5 — Venus in Pisces Conjunct Chiron in Pisces
— This combo can bring up deep self-esteem issues. Don’t make a decision to do plastic surgery or other invasive cos- metic procedures right now. Use the energy to make lasting headway on self –esteem building.
March 6 — Mercury in Pisces Conjunct Venus in Pisces
— A time for gentle and loving communication and possi- bly profitable artistic expression. Good news could come in about love or money.
March 7 & 8 — Saturn in Scorpio Trine Pluto in Capri-
corn — An aspect that brings confirmation that for many doing unglamorous or unrecognized work to help others is its’ own reward.
March 9 — Mercury in Pisces Square Jupiter in Gemini — Similar to the energies of March 4th aspect, wait and
rethink before overpromising or over-committing.
March 11 — New Moon in Pisces — Make your New Moon Wishes — You get 10 wishes! Write them down
and say them aloud. Wish for anything but wishes as- sociated with Pisces energy have more fertile ground for manifestation. Creativity, working with dreamtime, medi- tation, connectedness, sensitivity, imagination, releasing helplessness –wishes about these topics will have extra oomph for coming true.
March 11 &12 — Mars enters Aries — Mars entering the sign it rules brings rambunctious zealotry. Breathe... and protect your head.
March 17 — Mercury Direct in Pisces — Yay! But re- member things can be a little extra haywire up to 36 hours before and after this day and that the shadow period doesn’t officially end until April 6th.
March 20 — Spring Equinox — A day for balance in light but still with imbalanced energy.
March 21 — Venus enters Aries — Lots of little hors- ies chomping at the bit. Spring Fever officially takes over. March 22 — Mars in Aries Conjunct Uranus in Aries
— If you are feeling Bull-ish, don’t enter the China shop. Your tab will be high and you will be blacklisted from such stores. Instead walk barefoot on grass, dirt, or sand to help ground the energy and be Present for inspiration of brilliant and lucrative ideas that are out-of-the-box.
March 26 — Mars in Aries Square Pluto in Capricorn — Watch your Ego during this time. Make the decision to put your Ego in locked box until this energy clears. Stay away from dangerous activities or chancy situations. NOT
the time to discuss touchy matters, especially with unsta- ble or armed people.
March 27 — Full Moon in Libra – Fullness, completion, fruition comes to a relationship or relationship situation. Undealt with things can come to a head and either result in deeper intimacy or decision to do something different.
March 29 — Venus Conjunct Neptune — Great time for prolific and brilliant artistic creations. Not as great for clearly seeing a situation or person you are attached to in accurate light. Mercury in Pisces Square Jupiter in Gemini — Know that what you are saying or what you are hearing may be exaggerated today. Make decisions ac- cordingly. Mercury in Pisces Sextile Pluto in Capricorn
— Your mind searches beneath the superficial realms to find a hidden but certain “Truth”. Into April the energies will clear enough for you to find it.
March 31 — Venus in Aries Square Pluto in Capri- corn – Strong potentials for intense romantic encounters. Unchecked jealousy or deep fears could create major drama. Anything brought to the surface will give great indication of unresolved core issues. Use the awareness as a gift to shift.
