Water by The Spoonful, written by Quiara Alegría Hudes and directed by Kathleen McGeever, takes the stage of Northern Arizona University’s Studio Theater this February. A play reflective of the age we are living in, Water by the Spoonful combines the real world and the virtual world. “It’s about discovering and letting go, redeeming, and recovering,” Ms. McGeever explains. “It’s a tumultuous drama, but it has comedy also.”
At the time this article was being written rehearsals for the play had just begun. Part of the rehearsal process includes research on free jazz, addiction & recovery — all elements woven through the play. Water by the Spoonful will be performed Friday, February 26-27 & March 2-5 at 7:30PM, with 2PM matinee performances on Sundays, February 28 & March 6. Nau.edu/CAL/theater/events
